United Ideas sells hand knitted and hand embroidered clothes for children - dresses, ponchos, jumpers and cardigans. Owner Sandra designs all the pieces and then works with a knitting co-operative in Peru where the skilled knitters (who tend to be the men in the community) and embroiderers (the women) produce her collections. Boys love the football and train motifs, and for girls there are very pretty cardigans decorated with cherries and flowers. An exclusive collection of baby toys and bedding is also available in store. And don't miss the adorable finger puppets - a snip at £1!
