Old Brewery, The

The Old Brewery, which opened in March 2010, is brought to you by the much-loved Meantime Brewing Company. The new restaurant, cafe, bar and six-barrel micro brewery is set in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, adjacent to Discover Greenwich (and in the same building as Greenwich's Tourist Information Centre). A brewing history timeline wraps around the main dining room, illustrating the integral role played by beer and brewing in British culture, with London the centre of the brewing world. The main hall is a cafe cum restaurant (depending on the time of the day) offering a wide range of freshly made deli sandwiches, simple British bistro style dishes, house-baked cakes and pastries, in addition to Meantime's vast selection of award-winning beers. In the evening modern British food is served with beer central to many dishes such as beer-cured salmon or chocolate beer sorbet. There is also a slinky bar adjoining the main hall offering over 60 kinds of beer and an all day bar menu. And customers are also invited to descend to the cellars for tutored beer tastings...
