Maritime Books

Originally established in north London in 1974, dealing by catalogue, they sold used and antiquarian books on all aspects of naval and maritime history.

In 1984 they relocated to Greenwich and opened their first shop in Greenwich Market, however, by 1987 they had outgrown these premises and moved to a larger shop in the town centre.

It meant they could expand their stock to include new books and gradually added related material such as ephemera and prints. In 2005 they purchased a commercial property in Greenwich and now operate from their new shop at 66 Royal Hill, Greenwich, London SE10 8RT.

The bookshop has a literature on the following: Architecture/ Engineering, Art Books/ Illustrated, Battles, Bibliography/ Dictionary, Biography, Craft/ Barges/ Tugs, Docks/ Ports/ Buildings, Exploration/ Voyages, Fishery/ Whaling, Foreign Navies, Journals, Models/ Model Making, Nelson/ Hamiltons and Pilots/ Navigation/ Seamanship.
