in their collections.

SIKA’s womenswear designer Phylis Taylor’s family roots are firmly placed in Ghana, making this a natural choice for her to produce her collections there. With its rich culture, wealth of talented designers and dressmakers, Taylor has injected a new stream of employment and business into a struggling community. All her fabrics are personally selected, from local fabric markets in Ghana and many are handmade using traditional Ghanaian techniques, creating exclusive limited prints.

Dressmakers, both professional and amateur, love Miss Libby-Rose’s shop at 7 Turnpin Lane – a haven of fabrics, patterns and haberdashery as well as lots of welcome ‘how to advice’ and info on her sewing classes.
Fashion for the homealso takes a green twist in SE10 - look out too for stallholder Eco-Antique Teacup Candles. 200 years of beautiful British antique and vintage china transformed into pure-burning candles that can be re-used or refilled again and again.
