19 April St Alfege Millennium with special market in the grounds of St Alfege on 22 April

Recognition.
We hope to present participants with a medal or some such acknowledgment of their ride and achievement.

Costs
Participants will need to pay their own accommodation, food and travel costs, as well as bringing energy bars and snacks. It may be possible to provide some financial help in cases of need. We will buy our own lunches at suitable stopping places and find evening meals near our night stops.

Dates
Easter day falls on 8 April 2012. The Millennium date for St Alfege is 19 April (Thursday) and some celebrations will take place then. The pilgrimage will take place from Friday 20 – Sunday 22 April. There will be a celebratory event in St Alfege Park on Sunday 22, where the cycle pilgrimage participants will be welcomed.

Join us
Participants will be asked to commit to coming early enough to make accommodation bookings and plans, probably during February 2012. In the meantime you are invited to express interest and possible participation as soon as possible. Liz will start making accommodation bookings as soon as she has a number of definite commitments. It is likely that the earlier these are made the better the prices will be. It is probable that we won’t all be able to stay at the same place, but Liz will consult with individuals about preferences as much as possible.
